Degrees and Certifications:

Dr. Kathy Wilde

Dr. Wilde has been an educator for 27 years. She discovered her love for education while teaching 3rd and 4th grades at a small private school. This new-found passion led her to Texas Tech University where she completed the post-baccalaureate teacher certification program. She has served as a teacher, a coach, and an administrator.

Dr. Wilde is a first-generation college student who received her Bachelor's degree in English from Angelo State University, and holds two master’s degrees from Lamar University in Education Leadership and  Education Technology Leadership, respectively.  Her passion for lifelong learning has most recently led her to earn her Doctorate in Education Leadership Technology Innovation from Lamar University as well.

Dr. Wilde has two daughters, Brittany and Amber Carter, both honor graduates of Denver City High School. Brittany is currently studying Dance Performance at Texas Woman’s University, while Amber has chosen to proudly serve our country in the United States Marine Corps. In her spare time, Dr. Wilde enjoys drumming, crochet, and taking dance classes through Sparrow Dance Company!

Dr. Wilde is committed to helping students from all backgrounds to achieve their full potential by addressing their individual needs academically, socially, and emotionally. I am proud to call Denver City my home, and I am honored to have the opportunity to be part of the Kelley Elementary family! It is my hope to continue the long-standing tradition of doing whatever it takes to foster a positive, nurturing environment where our children can be successful both inside the classroom and out in the community.”
