A student may earn an endorsement by successfully completing:
- Curriculum requirements for the endorsement (options listed below)
- A total of four credits in mathematics
- A total of four credits in science
- Two additional elective credits
Art and Humanities

A coherent sequence or series of courses selected from one of the following:
Option A: Social Studies courses (5 credits)
Option E: Courses from one or two categories (art, music, and theater) in fine arts (4 credits in a coherent sequence (for example: Band 1, Band 2, Band 3, Band 4)
Business and Industry

All options must include Algebra II, chemistry and physics.
Option B: Courses required to complete a TEA-designated program of study related to STEM (4 credits) (shown below)
Option C: Mathematics courses including Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II and two additional courses for which Algebra II is a prerequisite (a total of five credits).
Option D: Science courses including Biology, Chemistry, Physics and two additional science courses (a total of five credits).
